Investment Philosophy & Research
AGM employs a disciplined bottom-up investment approach focused on identifying undervalued companies with strong fundamentals and sustainable competitive advantages. Investment ideas originate at the analyst and associate levels, where teams collaborate to conduct rigorous fundamental research and develop detailed investment pitches.
Evaluation & Approval Process
All investment proposals are reviewed tri-weekly by the Board of Directors, where each pitch undergoes thorough evaluation and stress testing. Only investments receiving a majority vote from the Investment Committee proceed to execution, ensuring disciplined and well-governed decision-making.
Portfolio Construction & Risk Management
Once approved, the Board optimizes position sizing to maintain balanced exposure across sectors and existing holdings. The portfolio typically holds between 5 and 15 long equity positions with a targeted holding period of 12 to 24 months. Sector exposures are carefully managed, with no sector exceeding 40% of the portfolio, maintaining diversification and risk control.
